As a direct response to federal initiatives, the U.S. Air Force (USAF) embarked on a capital asset management program to collect data regarding their expansive facilities portfolio. Huitt-Zollars provided logistics and data management, staffing for energy audits, space utilization surveys, real property audits, and condition/inventory assessments of architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components. The program included 12 installations totaling more than 33 million square feet of buildings. Teams of up to 65 architects and engineers were deployed to each installation for up to four weeks.
