Fort Bliss

Huitt-Zollars, in a Joint Venture with Jacobs, was selected to provide primarily Land Development Engineering (LDE) for the redevelopment and expansion of Fort Bliss Army Base. Huitt-Zollars has primary responsibility for design and secondary responsibility for program integration and construction management for this $75 million professional services contract. The effort will provide facilities for 45,000 troops and their families relocating from overseas bases.

Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center and Parking Garage

This Public-Private-Partnership or 3P project delivered to the TAMU System a full-service, 4-star, 250-room hotel and 25,000 SF world-class conference center. The hotel’s design captures the essence of the Texas A&M campus and serves as a gathering spot for alumni, faculty, visiting lecturers, parents and students. It embraces the Aggie spirit through references to its traditions, legacy, architecture and the University’s educational mission.

Dallas LFMP Construction Management

Huitt-Zollars provided comprehensive engineering and construction management services for airside civil improvements, as part of the Love Field Modernization Program to develop a new 20-gate terminal complex. The airside scope of work included 323,000-SY of new pavement around the new terminal, taxiway improvements, apron and taxiway lighting, a new hydrant fuel system, new fuel lines for fuel system capacity expansion, remain overnight aircraft parking, and major drainage system improvements to mitigate flood hazards.

FEMA Residential Substantial Damage Assessments in San Leon After Hurricane Ike

Following Hurricane Ike on September 13, 2008, Huitt-Zollars was called upon by Galveston County (County) to assist them in their emergency response efforts.  Within 24 hours of notice to proceed from the County, Huitt-Zollars mobilized six two-man emergency response teams to conduct flood damage assessments of residential areas within the San Leon area of Galveston County.  San Leon is located on the west side of the Galveston Bay and incurred considerable damage from storm surge and hurricane force winds.  During a three week period, our teams inspected nearl

FEMA Damage Assessments of County Facilities After Hurricane Harvey

Emergency Repairs to White Oak Bayou After Hurricane Ike

Huitt-Zollars conducted a site survey and prepared construction drawings, specifications and cost estimates to repair approximately four hundred fifty (450’) feet of channel embankment on White Oak Bayou that had been damaged during Hurricane Ike.  Huitt-Zollars performed a topographic survey to document the existing conditions, identify the repair area, and provide a baseline condition for estimating project unit quantities for bidding and constructing the repair work.
