Fort Bend County Sheriff Admin Building

Architectural and engineering services were provided for a new 48,000- square-foot, three-story Fort Bend County Sheriff Office’s Administration Building in Richmond, Texas, which opened in June of 2019.  The scope of work for the $9.9 million project included design of the new administration building with office space including secure areas for the Sheriff’s Office, the Executive Bureau, the Criminal Investigation Division, and the Patrol Division; conference rooms; a multi-purpose room; a bunkroom; locker rooms; restrooms; and waiting areas.

Municipal Service Center

Huitt-Zollars was commissioned by the City of Baytown to renovate and repurpose a former automobile dealership on a ten acre tract into new Municipal Service center consisting of administrative offices, shops, maintenance bays and fueling facilities. The design included the adaptive use of existing buildings. Site work included a complete new master plan with new circulation systems, aprons, parking space for large and small vehicles and storage. Parking for 114 employees was provided offsite under and adjacent to an elevated freeway. The fueling facility has above ground

Public Works Service Center

Valley Forest Drive

Huitt-Zollars prepared a preliminary engineering report and final design construction documents for the reconstruction of a neighborhood street.  Huitt-Zollars prepared a detailed traffic control management plan maintaining access to all driveways and side streets via one way traffic.  Huitt-Zollars also provided topographic survey, geotechnical investigation, preparation of drawings and specifications, attendance at the Pre-bid and Pre-Construction conferences, and construction phase engineering services.

Wallisville DPS Drivers License Facility

Huitt-Zollars was selected to prepare plans and specifications and provide construction administration for a new Department of Public Safety, Drivers License Facility in Chambers County, Texas.  Design includes offices, storage area, and site work.  Scope of work includes programming, space planning and utilization, preparation of construction documents, topographic surveying and construction phase services.

Stafford Fire Station No. 2

Huitt-Zollars designed a new combined Fire Department Administration Building and Fire Station for the City of Stafford. The facility sits on Mula Road in Stafford, Texas, adjacent to the existing one-story Fire Station No. 2. The scope of services for the project included preparation of schematic design, design development, and construction documents as well as providing bidding and construction administration services.

Rosenberg Police Department Building

Clear Lake - Second Outlet

Huitt-Zollars prepared the construction documents for improvements to the 141-foot-wide Gated Structure at the Clear Lake Second Outlet. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers designed the gated structure and outlet channel. Improvements to the structure included new safety ladders; replacement of the gate screw-top stem covers with expandable covers; replacement of the gates’ sacrificial anode cathodic protection system; a new hoist system atop the structure; additional galvanized steel grating catwalk atop the structure; gates and railing.
