This project included seven bridges; two stream crossings; two structures adjacent and over the river east levee embankment; two ramp structures; and one elevated parkway structure. The bridges are located in a horizontal curve and include superelevation transitions.

SH190 and President George Bush Turnpike, Segment XXI

Huitt-Zollars designed a PS&E package for two miles of six-lane, major depressed freeway construction. Design included two entrance and exit ramps with toll booths, up to eight lanes of continuous frontage roads, relocation of utilities, bridges and walls. The project involved both urban and rural storm drainage systems; four miles of retaining walls including cast-in-place, cantilever, and tied back wall systems; plus major prestressed concrete bridge overpasses at Josey Lane, Scott Mill, and Kelly Boulevard.

SH 183/SH 161 Interchange
